Over the course of the past few weeks, brilliant jailbreak developer and hacker pod2g has tweeted confirmations that his exploit works to jailbreak and untether the iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, however ironically, the iPod 3G and iPhone 3GS are not vulnerable to the kernel exploits used to untether, however due to these devices having bootrom level exploits available, it is very likely that a tethered jailbreak will still be available.

iPad1,1 and iPad2,1 tested with iOS 5.1.1. Untethering worked.

But the big question remains when will this long awaited jailbreak, especially for iPad 3 and iPhone 4S owners, be released to the public?

Chronic Dev team and pod2g have both hinted to the possibility of the jailbreak being released at the Hack in The Box Security Conference (HITBSecConf), which takes place in Amsterdam from May 21st to May 25th as they will be presenting. Just this morning, Apple unveiled the next generation iPad dubbed as ‘The New iPad’. Apple will naming the new iPad, ‘iPad’ and NOT ‘iPad 3′. So what’s new from the new iPad?

Firstly, Apple added a whole new amazing display onto the iPad. Apple brought the Retina Display to the iPad. With 2048 x 1536 resolution, it is twice the size of the iPad 2 resolution of 1024 x 768 on a 9.7-inch screen! It is by far the highest resolution tablet in the market at the moment.

The new iPad also comes with a new processor – A5X. It is a chip with quad-core graphics which makes gaming experience even more wonderful. The most amazing thing is that the new iPad still gets 10 hours of battery life.

Apple have also upgraded the rear camera of the new iPad. It now comes with 5 megapixel iSight camera. The same advanced optics as the one on the iPhone 4S but just that it is 5 Megapixels. It is amazing in low light conditions with its f/2.4 lens built in. With the new camera, it now records up to 1080p Full HD video!

Whats even better is that the new iPad now has 4G LTE connectivity. Even faster browsing with 4G speed (If only your telco is offers 4G connection).

We are just moments away from Apple’s keynote presentation on the next generation iPad – iPad 3 / iPad HD. The event is held in San Francisco, starting at 10AM PST on Wednesday March 7. Which is Malaysian time at 2am, March 8. There will be live blogs available.

The wait is over folks! Samsung Galaxy S II owners will finally enjoy the official update of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. According to Samsung Mobile’s Israel Facebook page, said that Ice Cream Sandwich will roll out to handsets on March 15th.

Apple has finally begun to release invitations to media’s around to world for a media event scheduled to take place in San Francisco on March 7th. In this event, Apple will be unveiling the next generation iPad – iPad 3.

It’s finally here, we are getting closer to see the next generation iPad and we hope that it would come with a Retina Display. By looking at the image above, we guess that Apple is already giving everyone a sneak peak at the iPad 3′s Retina Display. We’ve also noticed that there’s no HOME BUTTON in the image. Could this device be a full touch screen tablet?

We’d expect a faster processor from the iPad, probably a A5X chip or A6, either dual-core or quad-core. Retina display with 2048 x 1536 resolution, better camera, Siri, 4G connectivity and also some secret hardware upgrades which we have not seen from Apple.

The event starts on March 7th in San Francisco at 10AM PST, which means our Malaysian time would be on March 8th, 2AM.

Earlier today, HTC has finally unveiled their upcoming smartphones coming this year at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 held in Barcelona. HTC has announced the 3 smartphones that falls into the “HTC One” series – HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC One V.

The HTC One series trio, the One X, One S and One V all comes with Beats Audio sound enhancement. What differs between the 3 is of course the specifications and the design of the phone. The HTC One series fits for all categories, the HTC One X fits into the high-end smartphone category for customers who wants high-end smartphones. The HTC One S fits into the middle range and the HTC One V fits into the lower-end smartphones, towards entry-level.

HTC’s next monster smartphone will be revealed in Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 held at Barcelona today. Ahead of the event, full specs of the upcoming monster smartphone – HTC One X has been leaked. Few days ago, HTC started to tease the world with a image and counting down the days to the MWC 2012 event. HTC have mentioned that “This Sunday, you’ll hear something authentic”. So this could be it, the HTC One X.

The HTC One X is said to come with a whole new 1.5Ghz Quad-Core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, a 4.7 Super LCD2 display with 720p HD resolution, 32GB Internal Storage and also a 8MP camera with dual shutters with an f/2.0 aperture lens. (Dual shutter means that the HTC One X allows you to record HD Video and take picture simultaneously).
